mermaid, an interpetation

a mermaid in a disney - esque style. i'm working on ideas for the background. and the fins were colored, but my scanner isn't very forgiving. it started off as an exercise in mermaid poses for a bigger project, but i was so pleased with the end result, i uploaded it.
