Sweet pic. I sometimes have trouble drawing two characters together. Anyway for those lines use less pressure. Draw light lines until you get the desired pose or whatever. When it comes out the way you want it darken that set of lines and erase the others with a good art gum eraser. Thats how i do it anyway. Anyway you do it you will still see erase marks when you scan it. Then you can use photoshop he you wish to whiten it up more.

I LOVE the way you are drawing your faces because they depict so much expression! And then the proportions of your bodies are just getting better and better, that I think you have actually accomplished them!! Its just the little tweaks that everyone has to work on now. Fine tuning and stuff, but these are just AWESOME!!!! (A little secret: ssshh...Mitchell use to do a rough draft of his pics and then redraw them by tracing the perfected picture. In that way, its totally flawless. I got someone to build him his own 'lightbox' to help him out with this, lol!) *wink & ssshhh!!!*

Two of my all-time favourite characters!
I have such a hard time putting two characters together and making it look right!
What I do for those lines you speak of, is I use a softer pencil and lighter pressure then darken or use more pressure when i get the desired look, so i end up going over my good pictures up to 6 times to get the right consistency!
I like how you've "branded" this picture, like ZetaR02, I have thought about making one of those for myself!
