This took me a few days - I knew that, just like the rest of my work, the type of paper was very important.. I waited for a full moon, and ventured into the woods behind my yurt. I cut down the tallest tree I could find, and spent days laboring over what I like to call, the perfect piece of paper.
The piece takes a deep look into Legolas's soul - Seeking out his inner feelings. Even with the pain of Aragon's death on his heart, Legolas keeps his beautiful and lofty elven appearance.. so.. beautiful.. however, look closer and you will see tears breaking through the cracks of his happy face.
Aragon looks at the viewer, sadly, as if saying good bye.. perhaps in his last seconds of life?? Frodo is bewildered in a state of ring malice and Shelob wraps her legs about him; Sam is trying to pull him back to reality. Gollum is watching from a far promontory.. feeling the pain of his past and his torture; his face expresses such emotion and hatred.. Perhaps he even senses the mystical Nazgul above.. the foreshadowing of his own death.
My favorite character in the work is Sam - you can see him fighting for Frodo, see the love in his eyes.. the angst in his plump face..
Truly one of my best works... special thanks to Yohan who drew aragon's cropped neck and captured Gollum's raw and discontained madness.
