This is my first fanart!!! it took ages but its not perfect, some of the lines are wonky and its not very 3d. but i quite like it!<br />
please comment - i need help!

That is realy pretty! I like your shading, it gives it depth. BTW, I used Acrylic Paint on my painting.

This is a really pretty picture. I find roses so impossible to draw.

And don't worry about the Samara pic... it's always cool to get a nice comment and it's obvious you're not a dumbass because you're so talented.

Oh... and about the lines..

I don't see anything wrong with them. Remember, a rose is a flower, which means it's alive. It has a more organic shape. And I find the real beauty of flowers is the slight imperfections that make each one vary from the other.

I quite like it.

Kinda has a aluring sadness to it that isn't ver ridden by ansgt.

And since you asked for help...

Try not to smear so much. While it's a nice technique to get the hand of in some circumstances, I feel it overall creates low contrast and sorta a messy feel. Try using small lines and gradiate with the pencil.

Also try to pull out the highlights with an eraser. That'll really help it.

But... I like it the way it is.

Keep it up, I'm sure you'll produce some great stuff in the future.
