my dad showed me how to save it as a jpg. i draw it then go on file save as then the little thing under the name of the file and click on the arrow then click jpeg
your way is way simpler unless you run out of ink like my printer/scanner/copier does all the time

lol i can do it on paint and then print it then scan it on to my pc..
