This looks great so far. i think you should go ahead and finish it. Add some more darks into the mans face or in his beard cuz right now you have solids on the bottom and the top of the composition. I think it would look nice to have some of it spread out through the piece.

Here's a tip I got from a friend for rendering in pencil. Try not to shade in lines because they dont blend together well instead shade doing in small circles. It's easier to control your values and they blend better.

What can I say?? I think this piece is very good. I do not know why you would not finish it. Trust me I am not just saying this to be nice. I like it when people are honest about my art work also.
I would really like to see the finishing piece!!

TYVM but i didnt finish it b/c i dont know how to..see it is in pencil and the beard is light and the background is dark so i kinda lost interest :(
