you get your picture in the gimp, and
change your pic slightly then save it under a different name,
then you can do this as many times as you like, to make more frames,
then open your first pic in the gimp and then select file open as layer.
then choose your second pic(and do this as many times you like with different pics.)then go to your filters menu there you will see animation. select playback,
then you should be able to see what your animation looks like. if you are happy
with it then save it with it's filename extension as .gif. then it should ask you if you want to save it as an animation or convert to greyscale. select save as animation then you have your own animation! ;P
