Axel tries to commit suicide. Kara finds him and nurses him back to health. <br />
Once Axel starts going against the organization they kidnap Kara. They give him a choice, to kill Sora, which means killing Roxas, or they kill Kara. And everyday that it takes for him to decide Kara will be tortured.<br />
When Axel finally brings them the dead Sora, Xemnas kills Kara anyway. <br />
Axel wanted to die, but Kara had showed him the value of his life. You can see the scars on his neck from when he tried to commit suicide.
