"I am^^ Don't worry. Rei heals fast... My arm might take a week if it's broken bad^^ More likely 5 days^^." He said smiling a little. He stopped for a second and his eyes lighted up.... "Yay^^ Troy says he won't try to kill Tataru anymore!!!" Rei cheers to himself. ~That's a good sign.~
Tataru was puzzeled. It would take weels or months for a broken bone to heal on any normal person. He decided to shrug it off and looked at Rei. "Really? How come?"
"He says you don't seem like that bad a kid. And you're the only one besides him to ever fight Tenchi^^ He also says that you forgave me quickly which is good," Rei smiled happily. "He's never said anything nice about anyone... Ever... But then Troy has his reason not to trust people... That's why he showed up..."
"I see...I'm glad that both of you trust me. It's surpising that even he was nice to me...I'm thankful really, no one's ever trusted or even cared about me before. I really appericiate it."
Troy comes out for a second. "It's nothing kid. Just protect Rei. He's been hurt more then anyone ever should. I'm sorry about how I acted earlier..." Troy says. "He used to be too trusting... I'll tell you about it some other time," Troy says and let's Rei back. Rei blinks and leans his head on Tataru's shoulder.
Tataru holds onto Rei. "I'll protect you..." He says quietly.
Rei just nuzzles Tataru's shoulder. ~They say multiple personalitites are caused by major trauma. Troy is no exception~ "Troy's been around since I was ten. And he's never said anything kind to anyone..." Rei says sleepily. "I guess he is right. I do need protected sometimes..." Rei sighs. ~I love you~
"Everyone needs to be protected sometimes..." He replied, and looked to the ceiling. "Rei...have you ever been loved?"
"Not loved. No... Never loved... Except by my parents and I can't remember them," Rei shuddered. "Maybe I should just tell you..." Rei muttered to himself. "Tell you why Troy showed up..."
(well...you are...even though you don't know it...) "I guess that's what brings us together..." He moved closer to Rei. "If it would make you feel better you can tell me...but I could understand why you wouldn't....either way, the way I think about you will never change."
"I told you that I ran away once before. What I didn't tell you... was I wasn't found by my sister.... I was found by an older friend of hers... An older male friend... I didn't know it because She never let me meet anyone, but somehow he knew me... And so he called her and ask how should I be punished.... And she told him.... " Rei shuddered. "He could do what he wanted... and..."
"She told him he could do whatever he saw fit..." Rei's voice faltered. "And so he... He..." Rei fell silent, tears streamed down his face. "Troy doesn't want me to feel that pain again. That's why it takes him so long to trust people. He says he doesn't want to see me hurt."
"That's why Rei always smiles... He doesn't want people to see how broken he really is," Troy adds in. "I'm giving you a chance kid. But if you ever hurt Rei the gloves are off. Got it?" Troy asked sternly.
Tataru nods in silence. He felt pained by the story and held Rei closer. "You are strong..., I hope that I can be strong too - in order to keep you safe."
Rei just wrapped his arm around Tataru and let himself cry. "I'm sorry.... I'll stop soon," Rei muttered. He hated crying. But so much pain had built up, his soul hurt. And this was the one way to take the edge off the pain, was to cry.
"It's okay...everything will be alright now..." Tataru closed his eyes. Tsuki sensed Rei's pain and sat on his lap to comfort him.
Rei sniffled. He had so much more now then he had then. Someone who really cared about him, someone who didn't want to hurt him. For the first time in his life he felt safe. He calmed down little by little. No one had known about that, no one but he and Troy. He had never told anyone. "Aishooteru," he managed to whisper, his voice hushed.
Tataru opened his eyes, he was surprised, yet he stayed silent and almost motionless. He then smiled at Rei and stared at him as if accepting Rei's feelings and admitting his.
"You mean so much to me..." He said. "My parents never even loved me...so hearing this from you...it means a lot, just like your existance."
"Why didn't your parents love you?" Rei asked wiping his eyes. "That's their job... Their job is to love you and help you grow up strong"
"They didn't want any children. I was a burden to them. They worked me hard...not even because they cared for my future, but because they wanted to find a use for me...they even told me that. When they found out I was gay they stopped talking to me alltogether. I know it's wrong...but I was glad they died in that accident."
"It's not wrong... If they treated you like that..." Rei said sadly. "They deserved it. They sound as bad as my sister. Why have a kid if you don't want one?... That's so awful..." Rei blinked. "What perfectionist Jerks..." Rei muttered. "Hurting you... That's just wrong..."
Tataru showed Rei scars that were scattered around his body, mostly around his back. "They would hurt me for anything that I didn't do perfectly...in that way, they were like your sister...but not as harsh. They needed to keep a low profile so they didn't get caught.”
Rei softly traced the marks. "We're two of a kind aren't we?" he asked quietly. "We have so much in common..." Rei placed a soft kiss shyly on Tataru's cheek. "But It'll all be okay in the end," he said quietly.
Tataru blushed slightly and nodded. "We'll be okay as long as we're with each other. I'm glad I met you Rei. We must stay together, and we'll never be lonely again..."
Both of them were broken. They had been their entire lives. But together they would pick up the pieces, trying to fix what was broken on the inside.
