This picture really isn't bad if you're just starting ^_^. The shading could be a little smoother, but it all depends on what kind of effect you want. I like smoother shading, but that's just me lol. The proportions are good, and the expression is great! Good job :). And about the category thing... I can't help you lol sorry. I really don't know what category to put this one in.
