I think it's really, really good! I have that book too, and I tried drawing that once and it totally sucked! I even tried tracing it and it didn't look as good as yours! You did a good job on it.

I totally agree with Chaos_Kitten in every aspect. DO NOT GIVE UP!! just keep drawing and you'll get better!!

No! Definitely don't give up. That's the worst thing an artist can do when they are frustrated. Besides, have you seen some of the art that's been posted on this site? It's terrible lol! Your art is NOT bad, trust me. Please don't quit. And if you want some tips on this one, I can't give you direct guidlines, I can just tell you exactly what is wrong with it. Ok, his right shoulder is a bit broad, and his left shoulder is just a bit pointed. I know that's the type of clothing, but if you're going to do that then point it on both sides :). His side gets too skinny too fast on the right side, and the arms should come in a little more. But the arms are a pretty good length. Keep that up. the hands are a bit off, but that's ok. It takes a long time to learn hands for most people :). Also it looks like his knees are bending in instead of out. I'm not sure how to tell you how to fix that, just try not to make the legs to back from the hips, they should be going forward. One more thing: The right knee should not bend in that direction lol. If you're going to make the right leg go out at that angle from the hip, then keep it at that angle and don't bend it. But really, this is a pretty good drawing. It may have some stuff wrong with it, but you'll come a long way with practice. One thing you could do to help you is to look at a picture and draw it. Don't trace though. Just look at it and draw it. It helped me a lot, maybe it will help you too :)

Noooooo! don't give up. And besides, the more you try the more you get better.(true). Also trying different methods works for me. I like the hair style too.

i like his face and feet , the rest is quite nice but not proportional keep up your job!
