Demon's Eye Prologue

This is a manga I'm working on's prologue. It's not the whole prologue eather. I just trimmed it down.

The whole thing is:

The world was once a peaceful place. A place where children could laugh and play. A place where birds soared throught the blue sky. A place where townspeople stayed warm in their beds on cold winter nights. The world was once a beautiful place. But then horror struck. Legend has it that once there was a containment at the center of the Earth where unspeakable evils were held. This rumor was neither proved true nor false, but it is said that a young man traveled to the center of the Earth and relseased the evil upon himself. In turn the evil consumed the young boy and he was forced to do its bidding. In only a few months time the evil created itself an army capable of slaughtering thousands of people in one night. Homes where distroyed, lives were lost, and people were ruined. But not a soul knows why the evil does what it does, and many beleive it is not true. To some the legend is more of a story. Children from farther lands sit around the crackling midnight fire begging to hear the story of the Beast within the Earth, the Unleashing of the Core Devil, the Awakening of the Demon's Eye. Now, there are people in the world who believe in this tragic tale just as there are people who don't. There are people who have never heard of such an unruly tale and there are people who will never hear it, or anything else, again. But one thing is certain, no matter how much any one denies it, something did happen and the world will never be the same again.

I know this picture doesn't look very good, but I think its ok for my first one. I'm still getting the hang of shading but I PROMISE they will gradually get better with every page. The next one is going to be the first cover for the first arc so it will be in color, I found a tutorial on coloring on photoshop and I think it will look better than my others.
