this is Gin`s best friend John the german shepdog.
his mark is suposed to be a fang.
in the new anime Ginga Densetsu Weed john sacrifes his life to save some other dogs and in the fight with the evil boss Hogen he not only loses his life bot also one of his fangs. the dogs he saved tok with them his fang after burying johns body they tok the fang back to the land he called home and buryed it there. I think that was a wery strong scene in the anime and feelt it said al about John.
