My First Marth Picture

Alright, I know I goofed up in quite a few places. The sword's too big, it looks a little funky, his hands are a little wierd, and I was sloppy on coloring with the cape. It gets to the point on the third hour of coloring with limited colors that trying to make dark blue out of one blue and a black gets to be too much. But, on the other hand, I guess the coloring isn't all that bad in other places. Helpful criticism + advice for coloring techniques welcome.
