Our 17th picture in my “Ode to Childhood” series!
As usual, another resident of my childhood ‘underwater world. This mermaid is the bookworm. In fact, she owns a bookstore. She’s highly intelligent…often flaunts her smartness.
Random: I’m so proud of this. I love how her face and hair came out. I love it to death. ^_^ The difficult part was figuring out how the ‘random pockets’ on the original drawing’s tail were supposed to work. I think I came up with a delightful alternative.

I like this picture! She seems somewhat...oh, what's the word...I don't think "steampunk" would quite describe her, but you know what I mean. I love the watch and monacle.
