This is my recent work. I’ve fallen in love with my manga pens….hopefully I use them well, eh? I’ve been working on this for about a week.

Backstory: Well, this is a beaten up photo laying on Indigo’s desk. It was taken when Indigo was about six and at the park with her mother and her sister, who was about nine at the time. The woman laughing is Indigo’s mother. She died of a terminal illness. This was obviously before she was really sick. The girl with the braid is Indigo’s sister Violet (She’s a bit different now, or as my dear Monohan says ‘Hott’. Ha ha ha) And who’s that cuteness in the middle? That’s our Indigo. An adorable little brace faced thing! ^_^

I’m so proud of it. I can’t think of a single thing I want to change. It just…came out nicely. I’m really proud of the mother’s torso for some reason. (Is that weird? Ha…a bunch of you are now looking at her cleavage now. Har.)

You can tell it’s Indigo’s desk….perhaps her necklace looks familiar now?

I received them for Christmas, but I did see them being sold at an Office Max once near their art supplies while I was checking out Calligraphy pen sets. Manga pens are these beautful things that come in greyscale that are used for coloring/shading manga. Think of them as a sharpie without the bleeding and the smell. They come in different shades of grey, which are bold tipped, and black, which come in small, medium, and bold tipped.

T...this is just amazing. The expressions, the poses. I love the hint of the background in the photo and the pen and pendant on top of the photo. 8D
