Pandora’s Box…er…jar!

Wow!! It’s something non OtC related!! This is actually a project for Geography of Western Civilization. I decided to do a little feature on the fascinating story of Pandora’s box, which is one on my favorite Greek Myths. Now, your probably thinking: Okay, if it’s Pandora’s BOX, WHY IS THERE A JAR?!

I’ll tell you why. When the story was originally translated into Latin, the word for jar was confused with the word for box. Hence, Pandora’s Box. Sounds better than Pandora’s Jar I guess…9_9

Anyhoo!! This is my first finished full page charcoal…. Hopefully you love it.

WOOOW this is AMAZING 0.0 How all the jar and the stuff coming out is like KAAAH and dark and smudgy and sharp and then she's all soft and light and sorta glowing (I know what I mean ^^;;), and I love her face ^__^

The glowiness just sort of happened. I'm glad it did. I wanted the background to be a shoking blackness. It's gorgeous in person.

O_O Wow...it's so moody. I love how you have the sharp lines...but some swooshing areas of black too.

It's really amazing. And done with great skill.
