So, it was my boyfriend’s birthday a while back, and I happen to have a reputation of making him something cool. I mean, I’ve papier-mâchéd him a plasma sword, sewn him a Cthulu plushie…
Let’s just say, I had to be equally awesome this year.
Well, I happen to have row upon row of wine bottles on my ‘construction desk’ as it were, and I decided it would be wicked sweet to make him an Hourglass.
Easier said than done. Easier said than done.
But, here it is!
How it’s done:
I took two wine bottles and rinsed them out reaaaaal good (tip: to dry out water fast, throw some rice into whatever your drying and shake it up. It absorbs water) I then on course, filled one bottle with craft sand. I hotglued in a plastic pipe connector, the hotglued the second bottle on top. I used two wooden plates for bases, and installed some supports. All in VERY HEFTILY hotglued into place and painted/
LOTS OF WORK.

O_O A Cthulu plushie?!?!?
I WANT A CTHULU PLUSHIE!!! I LOVE LOVECRAFT!!! T_T
People always say that gifts handmade mean more because of the effort you put in. But I never really believed that.
However...after seeing this...I now believe it. D8 Man, if I opened this I'd probably faint from the amount of effort that went into it.
Totally amazing.
