Colorless

You are in a dark, cold hallway. Empty cells with steel bars line the walls on either side of you. From the corner of your eye, you see movement. You turn. One of the cells isn't empty. A boy's frail, white hands grip the bars of his cell, and he is on his knees, too weak to get to his feet. The color has faded from his skin, hair, eyes, and clothing, leaving him a misty shadow. He gives a quiet whimper, and you can see the tears roll down his face. Somebody locked him up here and forgot about him. Why hasn't he killed himself, knowing that he will never be free and he will succumb to hunger and thirst before much longer? The knowledge that she's still alive, and she would never forgive him for taking his own life while his body still had the energy for his heart to beat.

Yeah... it was a doodle turned cool picture. I drew it without using the eraser tool. Not once. I just typed up that paragraph because I felt like it.
