Well this is my desin for the Shredder. Fans of TMNT were introduced to the Shredder by either the 1987 or 2003 cartoon, but some people might not know his origins from the Mirage comics. Here's how he began.
Hamato Yoshi was one of the foot clan's greatest warriors. He had a rival named Oroku Nagi. The two fought for the love of a woman named Tang Shen, but in the end she chose Yoshi. Jealous, Nagi demanded that Tang Shen love him, when Tang Shen refused Nagi beat her to a bloody pulp. When Yoshi saw this he killed Nagi. Shaming his own clan, Nagi and Tang Shen fled to New York. Back in Japan, Nagi's brother, Oroku Saki vowed to avenge his brother's death. For years, Saki trained hard became leader of the foot clan. He would then go to New York kill both Yoshi and Tang Shen. Splinter the pet rat of Yoshi, was force to live in the sewers of New York, where he found four baby turtles who later become the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
15 years later, Splinter would train the turtles to kill Shredder and to avenge Hamato Yoshi. The turtles would fight the Shredder and his ninjas on a rooftop. When Shredder is defeater, Leonardo offers Shredder to commit an honorable suicide, but Shredder refuses and pulls out a grenade, that will explode taking all of them. Donatello quickly uses his bow staff and the Shredder then falls to his death. This was adapted into both the live action movie and the 2003 cartoon, but unlike the first issue Shredder survives.
Issues later we see the Shredder attacking Leonardo, then attacks the rest of the turtles with his ninjas. They burn down April O'Neil's apartment and this forces the turtles to leave New York. Later the turtles would return to New York, finding out that the Shredder made a clone of himself and made uglier clones of himself as well. The turtles fight off the clones and burn the remains. Unfortunetly that was a bad idea because the Foot clan goes into an all out cival was leaves many bystanders either wounded or killed. It wasn't Karai the Shredder's daughter took control. This was also adapted into the 2003 cartoon
Well I hope it was informative and I hope you like my work.
