Description
With it being the 70th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, I decided to draw a pic based of the powerful manga and anime film, Barefoot Gen. Barefoot Gen tells the story of Gen Nakaoka, a boy living in Hiroshima with his family. His father is against Japan's war with the Allied Powers and thus this brands him and his family as traitors. On August 6th 1945, one weapon would change Gen's life and the entire world. Thus Gen is trying to survive in this new hell on earth. Barefoot Gen truly shows war through the eyes of child. It's truly sad and horrifying that people had to go through this. I highly reconmend you read the manga and watch the anime film. Also please check out my review I did for the film
