Behind the steely eyes

Heath's cousin Boss jumped him and tied him to a telephone pole to stop Heath from saving Flare first. Heath finally slips free but it gave him time to think about how stupid he was acting. He knew very well that Flare never said she was his girlfriend, so what right did he have to say who she should be with? He didn't want to face the fact that Flare might like Boss better and that fighting with his cousin was pointless. Flare was the only girl he ever really felt close to. The world would never be as sunny and warm as it seemed her by his side, but he would take it like a man.
