Original done on 16x20 canvas in acrylic. When I recently saw Daniel Day Lewis' first scene in Gangs of New York, his towering top hat immediately made me think of Willy Wonka. I thought, "why not mix them?"
But what to do for a background idea to tie it all together. Why, an 1863, 35 star American flag made of delicious chocolate.
