Description
Here's the layout to rounds 1 and 2 of the unsold pilot "Shopper's Bazaar". Here, you have $500 as top dollar value, two "Lose a Turn" spaces, plus "Buy a Vowel", "Free Spin", "Free Vowel", and "Your Own Clue" spaces.
As you may know, today's "Free Play" wedge has it's roots in the pilot's "Free Vowel" space.
When "Your Own Clue" was landed on, the contestant would pick up the telephone in front, and a clue, which would state a "person", "place", or "thing" (acting as if it were known today as the puzzle's "category") would be given to the contestant from the receiver.
Despite the presence of "Buy a Vowel", contestants may buy vowels at their own discretion for $250.
