Yes you are very correct. I couldn't remember the name of the book.Thank you. I would love to be able to get the pictures in my head to turn out looking like that when I draw them but they NEVER turn out that nice looking. <sigh>

I know I've seen this gryphon before... but where was it....

Aha! This guy's based off of the Mercedes Lackey The Black Gryphon cover art, right?

Considering how this is a referenced drawing, I see it's pretty accurate to the original and that you have a good eye for detils. Unfortunately it also means that I can't in my right mind give any comments or crits on the gryphon's physiology like I usually would. Reference drawings are good for practice, but if you can take this level of detail and apply it to something you thought up from pure imagination -- that's what I like to see.

PS: Apologies for multiple commenting, I had some technical problems on my end.

The detail on the feathers and scales is just delightful. The face is beautiful and the claws are just sublime. I mean it.

The limbs, however, seem a bit too small for the rest of the body. They look great- detail wise- just smallish.

All together, that's a great drawing. Dude, I sucked in high school- very nice work.
