Do you really care

This is a picture I just felt like doing. I made Aqua's appearance different to show her from age 12 to now age 13 in this pic. And this is showing one of Spike's casual outfits. Aqua wonders if Spike really truly still cares for her. I might write a story and this pic (along with others) fit into it. anyway here's this.

Spike broke through the thick hedges and found Aqua standing alone in a thin line of moonlight. He crept forward and heard her crying. Tears, what for? Spike thought. He took another step forward and accidentally ruffled some leaves. Aqua gasped and quickly spun to face Spike. "Hi Aqua." Spike said quietly. Aqua huffed and turned back away the tears falling faster. "Why are you here?" Spike's expression turned into a mix of confusion and sadness. "What are you talking about?" Aqua's fists clenched slightly. "Why aren't you with your girlfriend, Katrina?" Spike's eyes widened. "What how did you..." Aqua cut him off, "I saw you two together at the beach, really close and everything." Spike stepped closer. "Aqua it's not what you think." "Then tell me what is it, why have you been gone almost all the time and why were you with her?" Spike sighed. "It was just business, she supplied me with excellent weapons to use against Eggman, and in exchange I spend time with her to gain info on the weapons." There was a long pause before Spike pressed on. "I only want to protect you Aqua, you know that." He walked until he was behind her. He grabbed her waist and pulled her close, tears starting to flow from his eyes. "I have a question for you." "What is it?" Aqua sighed and held her held down slightly. "Do you still really care, Spike...?" Spike held her closer and tried to hold back his tears, but failed. "Of course I do Aqua." He kissed her cheek. "And I always will."
