Chapter 1 - AZURE.tears Opening [Preview]

AZURE TEARS

"Where am I?" a soft voice questioned. "Am I dead, or dreaming?" A body floated above the sapphire world. Her eyes slowly opened; she looked around. "How am I able to just float like this?" Her mind was full of curious thoughts and questions. Just then she felt a sharp pain in the middle of her spine. Twisting in pain, she pressed her right hand against her back to see what the problem was. Something fluffy and soft was attached to her back, something that wasn’t there before she had passed out. Quickly turning her head to the right, she gasped in fright and amazement. Angelic wings lay upon her back. Now she had no clue what was going on. "Wake up Alyssa, WAKE UP!" Bursting out of a pale cloud beamed a bright light. Alyssa’s eyes flinched at the intensity of the light. Appearing there was a figure, cloaked in a colourless robe. A duo pair of angelic wings was attached to the figure’s back, swinging back and forth.
“You have been chosen to protect this world,� the figure exclaimed. Alyssa’s eyes slowly adjusted to the light, leisurely opening them.
“Yeah? How come,� she asked.
“Follow me and find out,� said the figure as it flew away. Extremely confused, Alyssa shrugged and used her wings to catch up to the unknown figure.
“Where are we going?� Alyssa asked.
“You’re just full of questions, aren’t you?� the figure giggled, “You’ll find out Alyssa, you’ll find out.�
