The next day, the farmer called Ranger into his house. "Ranger, I think we have to let them go." He told her.She ran to Thunder and cried. The farmer got a box and painted "Free to good home." on it. He called the puppies into his truck, placed them in the box, and drove away. The farmer took them to the local pet store, where he put the box on the sidewalk by it. The first one to get adopted was Storm, by a 12-year-old boy wearing a Nascar shirt. Jessi was next, by a woman in a fancy red dress. Then Bruce, by a 18-year-old wearing goth clothes. But no one came to take Lacey. The sunny day turned into a rainy night. The water was tearing the box apart. Lacey jumped out as soon as the box fell of the sidewalk. Then, Lacey ran away, not knowing about the journey ahead of her.........
