Chapter 1 - Regret
Chapter 1 - Regret
word gets away-
four fast horses
can't catch it.
these thoughts form
on my lips,
push forth
into the air.
hands grasp
at them
but like eels they
slither away.
expressions of
anger and
fear and
longing
tend to linger
in my mouth-
but sometimes
I lose my grip.
and upon their escape,
these words
run rampant
throughout town.
it's just another
slip of the tongue.
but sometimes slips
can be fatal.
