Chapter 1 - His good bye

I'm depressed so I'll write a sad song fic…for you people…



I woke up today woke up wide awake

In an empty bed staring at an empty room

I have myself to blame for the state I'm in today

And how I'm dying doesn't seem so cruel



Raven woke up in tears because it was only yesterday that Beast Boy died.



Flashback -

They were fighting Slade, they were winning, until Slade pulled a handgun. He told them that he only had one shot. He pointed at Raven, and Beast Boy was so scared that she would pay the price for the team. He leaped in front of her, as Slade pulled the trigger.



“BEAST BOY, NO!” she exclaimed.



And oh, I don't know what to say I hate myself for losing you I'm seeing it all so clear I hate myself for losing you



The bullet hit him in the heart. Raven rushed over to him, and the rest of the team charged Slade. “Beast Boy? Can you hear me?” she asked. His wound bled more, and started to bleed out of his mouth.



What do you do when you look in the mirror and staring at you is why he's not here you got what you deserved hope you're happy now `cause every time I think of both of you it's killing me inside



“R…aven…” he mumbled.

“Yes, my love?” she asked.

“You know I'm not going to live long,” he said.

“Sh…don't say that, I'll save you,” she replied.



And now I dread each day knowing that I can't be saved from the loneliness of living without you and oh, I don't know what to do not sure that I'll pull through I wish you knew I hate myself for losing you

“Raven, you need to be with the others,” he said.

“Please don't leave me,” she cried.



And oh, I don't know what to do not sure that I'll pull through I wish you knew, I wish you knew and oh, I don't know anyway, anymore and oh, I don't know what to say and I don't know anyway, anymore no, no what do you say, when everything you said is the reason why he left you in the end how do you cry when every day you said don't ever bring him back again



“I love you, Beast Boy,” she said, and his dieing words were “ I will always be with you.” So he died in Raven's arms. “No,” she whispered.



End of Flashback -

She got ready for his funeral, and she walked toward the living room. All of the titans were dressed in black and gray. She fell in Robin's arms, and started to cry. Then, they all left for the funeral.



The arrived they saw the Doom Patrol there. Raven walked up to the microphone after the Doom Patrol said a few words. “I was Beast Boy's girlfriend, and I'm going to dedicate a Kelly Clarkson's song to him. It's called `Because of You' “ she said. She took a deep breath, and Robin went to play at the piano. She began to sing:



I will not make to same mistakes that you did I will not let myself `cause my heart so much misery I will not break the way you did, you fell so hard I've learned the hard way



Everyone began to cry as the heard Raven sing the song. A tear fell out of Raven's right eye.

Raven began to cry, and she thought of Beast Boy so much now. Robin still played the tune of the song.



Because I know that's weakness in your eyes/ I'm forced to fake/ a smile, a laugh, every day of my life/ my heart can't possibly break/ when it wasn't even whole to start with/ I watched you die/ I heard you cry every night in your sleep/ I was so young/ you should have known better than to lean on me/ you never thought of anyone else/ you just saw your pain/ and now I cry in the middle of the night/ for the same damn thing/ because of you/ because of you/ because of you I am afraid/ because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk/ because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt/ because of you/ I try my hardest just to forget everything/ because of you/ I don't know how to let anyone else in/ because of you/ I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty/ because of you I am afraid/ because of you



As Raven ended the song, everyone got up, and clapped. Raven was crying bitterly now, but she was happier than she was yesterday. Then in the back of the room she noticed Beast Boy's spirit coming to say good-bye to her. He waved, and she waved back. Then he disappeared.
