I blinked a couple of times. I didn’t recognise where I was.
“Liesh? Gill?” I asked.
“Oh, my god. You’re awake!” Liesh said. “Hang on.” She ran out of the room. A few moments later my mum came running in and hugged me. She had tears streaming down her face.
“Don’t worry, Aliesha told us everything. Don’t ever run away again, ok? Not even to save the world.” She smiled.
“Mum…”I said.
“Shush. You need rest. By the way, when were you going to mention Gill in the note?”
“I didn’t know about him then.”
“Well, I’ll leave Liesh here with you.” Mum said, leaving the room.
“Where am I?” I asked Liesh.
“The hospital. What were you shouting while we were fighting?”
“Oh, the words from the Tree. Vignr, Water. Kohui, Wind. Bavgry, Fire. Nvaz, Earth.”
“And the last one?”
“The most important.” I smiled. “Lieyiu, Light.”
