Chapter 1 - Untitled
Insomnia 1-12-04
My eyelids are heavy
My limbs have turned numb
Won’t you please listen
With this rule of thumb
Sleep is important
Without it you’ll die
If only I learned that
Before I scorched the sky
My head starts to drop
Finally some sleep…
I fall to the ground
I didn’t notice the curb was so steep
As I lay in the street
People begin to stare
I close my eyes tight
Hiding from the sun’s burning glare
People start to help me up
I stagger to my feet
I see the car, but it’s all too late
As I lay lifeless on the street.
