Doodles
At school today I drew...
On my arms - my books - the tables
Did you know that at school I drew?
I drew me and you and love hearts.
I drew rainbows and clouds and the sun.
I drew my name on my fingers
I drew my face upon my hand
I drew my heart on my arm.
At home today I drew…
On my arms - my homework - my bed
Did you know that at home I drew?
I drew me and you and love hearts.
I drew rainbows and the shining sun.
I drew rain clouds forming around us.
So that we were alone as one
I drew my name upon the bed-spread
I drew my hand on my door
I drew my dreams along the floor.
At the hospital today I drew…
On my arms - my legs - my cast
Did you know that at hospital I drew?
I drew me and you and love hearts.
And the dawn of the shining sun.
I drew the young girl on the bed in front on me
So she could know what it was she had done.
I drew my name upon the table
I drew her name on the bed-spread
I drew our hearts together as one
So I knew you were with me…
Always.
