Chapter 4 - Child Labor Poem (for Hist Class)

We work many hours
We don't get time that should be ours.
Not much money comes in
And that should be a sin
One of our friends got hurt
And no one cared
They said, “Suck it up.”
The area is always dirty, smelly, and sweaty
There isn't much light
Now we won't grow up bright
Because there's no school for us
I just want to be a normal little kid
Who plays all day and sleeps all night
I want to have an education
But that's out of the question for me
