Chapter 2: Taris[br]

I looked through the pod window, and saw us approaching the planet at great speeds. I then felt a huge jolt go through the pod, and was sent hurtling toward the pod wall. My head banged against the cold steel, as everything began to go dark. I could hear Carth's, but then everything went so quiet. So... Black.[br]
[br]
[br]
When I opened my eyes, I felt my body being dragged along something rough. I heard yelling from people, but looked up, my vision was blurred. All I could make out was Carth. I could tell he was dragging me somewhere, but where?[br]
[br]
[br]
I was standing still, and I saw someone. He was wielding a lightsaber so gracefully. He looked like a sith lord, but as I thought this, a woman and two men stepped forth. The female leader spoke with authority.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Stand down, Revan!” she commanded.[br]
[br]
[br]
I was surprised. I was watching Revan, the hero of the Mandalorian wars and the dark lord of the sith. Suddenly, a blast shook the ship, and I saw Revan fall to the floor unconscious. [br]
[br]
[br]
“LIAM! ARE YOU OKAY? LIAM! LIAM!!!” I heard Carth.[br]
[br]
[br]
My eyes shot open, and I saw Carth looking down at me with a worried expression.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Thank God, I thought I lost you,” he said. I could hear the fear in his voice.[br]
[br]
[br]
“No, no I am fine. I just got shook up from the pod trip, that's all. Speaking of that, what happened?” I replied curiously, and still a little drowsy.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Well, we crash-landed here on the planet Taris. I believe Bastila is here too. We have to rescue her but we --” I cut him off before he could speak.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Rescue? What problems could she be facing here? Taris is a peaceful planet” I said, confused.[br]
[br]
[br]
“I was about to say before you interrupted me.” [br]
[br]
[br]
I rolled my eyes as he said that. Geez, this guy was so cranky. [br]
[br]
[br]
“This planet is controlled by the sith, and they quarantined it.” [br]
[br]
[br]
I looked at him wide eyed. “Oh, that is just great! How can we get off this planet then?” I said, frustrated.[br]
[br]
[br]
“We need to get the codes to get out of Taris, but first we need to get Bastila,” he said, almost as if he was ordering me. I didn't like that, but he was my only ally.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Okay, where can we find her?” I asked.[br]
[br]
[br]
“I heard some rumours of pods crashing in the lower levels. We should investigate there, but we need to get past the sith guard first.”[br]
[br]
[br]
I sighed. “Okay, let's ask around. Someone should know,” I said, and he nodded in agreement.[br]
[br]
[br]
I geared myself up, and Carth got his blasters ready. I quickly glanced around the room.[br]
[br]
[br]
“You got us an apartment?” I asked curiously. [br]
[br]
[br]
“Yeah, they don't really care who is in them. No one checks them,” he said I nodded. We walked out and I stepped on the floor and heard a yell.[br]
[br]
[br]
“DAMN KID! I JUST WASHED THERE” [br]
[br]
[br]
I looked at the source of the voice apologetically. “I am sorry, I didn't know.” [br]
[br]
[br]
“It's alright, kid,” he said, more calm than before.[br]
[br]
“Excuse me, but do you know any way we can get to the lower levels?” I asked him. He gave us a look like as if we were crazy.[br]
[br]
[br]
“You must be nuts if you want to go there! It is full of swoop gangs at war.”[br]
[br]
[br]
“But we need to get down there,” Carth said desperately. The man stood there and was quiet for a moment.[br]
[br]
“Listen," he said. "I don't know how but I bet that hutt in the cantina would.” [br]
[br]
[br]
I looked at Carth with an unsure expression “What do you think, Carth?” [br]
[br]
[br]
“It's the best chance we got, Liam. We best take it.” [br]
[br]
[br]
I nodded slowly. “Okay, thank you.” I shook his hand, and Carth and I made our way to the elevator.[br]
[br]
[br]
When we walked to the elevator, we noticed two sith guards guarding it. We both looked down hoping they won't notice. Carth walked past them and stood in the elevator. As I walked I felt a strong grip on my arm.[br]
[br]
[br]
“What is the matter s--” He stopped and I felt his eyes drift onto my republic insignia on the chest on my suit. I suddenly felt as if I could read his movements, then felt them grab me and slam me into the wall hard. I brought up both of my feet and kicked them both back. I pulled out my sword and swung it diagonally up along the sith soldiers chest, bringing out a yell from him.[br]

His partner fired a shot at me, but I rolled out of the way, and I lunged forward. I unleashed a flurry of slashes to his armour; his body dropped to the floor lifeless, and I panted and I ran into the elevator to Carth.[br]
[br]
[br]
He looked at me kind of fearful. “How can you fight so well? How did you know to dodge his moves?” [br]
[br]
[br]
I looked at him, scared “It was as if I could feel his movements.” [br]
[br]
[br]
“Maybe that hit did more than I thought,” Carth said worried.[br]
[br]
[br]
He then pressed a button on the keypad and we went down to the bottom floor.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Well we best go see this hutt in the cantina,” Carth said. I nodded as I heard the elevator come to a halt. [br]
[br]
[br]
