I wish to hold you in my arms,

As I look into the night.

I wonder why from where I stand,

Do you feel about me,

The way I feel for you?

Or am I just dreaming about having you,

And hearing you say that I love you.

It seems I shouldn't dream,

About what I can't have but I do it.

I look to the stars and think to myself,

Are we looking upon the same stars?

It seems there's a gap separating us,

Yet I refuse to just stand around,

And watch you from afar any more,

All I want is for you to be happy,

And for that I know I must suffer.

But I will take whatever I must,

In order to ensure that you are truly happy.
