Chapter 1 - Untitled
Harriet Tubman
A woman on a quest,
Helping slaves to freedom,
Relieving the oppressed.
Such a courageous woman
This woman on a quest
Making several trips
To rescue the oppressed
An extremely creative woman
The woman on a quest
Using calls of whippoorwills
To help lead away the oppressed
A very encouraging woman
The woman on the quest
Painting brilliant word pictures
In lifting the oppressed
Leading slaves to Canada
Feeling the cool air's kiss
Seeing their glowing faces
Filled her up with bliss
Her mission now accomplished
Her quest now at an end
She let free over three hundred slaves
Who could now call her their friend
