Judgment Day



I was numb to all words that may have been unspoken.

I was so desperate I prayed to never be unveiled.

I was left abandoned as I lay, tattered and broken.

I was crying out to seraphim that had previously failed.



The smothered night tasted of blood, and was tainted with fear.

The empty souls of all mortals were howling to be saved.

The world tried to avoid what they knew was already here.

The fools tried to alter a prophet that was already engraved.



I was witnessing all this as I choked back my own dread.

I was trying to memorize all that I could not understand.

I was counting my own tears that never could shed.

I was disturbed at how all this could've been planned.
