Chapter 3 - Live what you've Learnt

Atem and Tea got the chance to spend one last day in the real world.
Unfortunately, they had to go to school and Nooks had leaked into the real world with them . . .

It was English, third lesson. Tea wasnt in Atems class, so the Nooks didnt have to look far to spot the socket in the back of his head.
Atem! Atem heard Lutecs voice in his head.
What the . . . he muttered.
Its me! Lutec! I found you on the tracker. Listen, you are in serious danger. We got Tea back as soon as we could, but you seem to have something blocking your path back. Nooks have escaped into this world with you. They are far too dangerous to battle out there. You have to run. Well try and get you back,
Would you mind getting out of my head?
Okay, good luck,

Nooks gathered at the windows.
Atem jumped to his feet.
Atem, will you please sit down! Mr. Ju yelled.
Atem ignored him and ran out of the room. Nooks chased after him. He sprinted down the corridors. He span round. There was no escape, unless he rampaged through the nearest classroom and climbed out of a window.
That was exactly what he did.

He leapt across desks, flung the window open and climbed out. Atem climbed up to the roof. It was no use they were on the roof! He turned around and gripped the bars of the fence that enclosed the roof of the school. He closed his eyes.
Mr. Ju poked his head out of a window. Atem! What are you doing? Get down from there at once! he bellowed.

Atem held his breath and let go.
Students gasped and teachers looked horrified.
He hit the ground with a thud and rolled into the road.
Oh, my God! Mrs. Gigs gasped.

Blood poured from Atems mouth.
Lutecs voice entered his mind again. Atem. Get up! Theyre coming!
. . .
Get up! she snapped.
. . .

Atem grunted and pulled himself to his feet.
Impossible! both teachers breathed.
Nooks filed out of the building. The chase was on again. Atem sprinted as fast as his slim legs would allow him to go.

He panted, but urged on.
Nooks cornered him in an alley.
Wasting no time at all, Atem ran up and across the wall, landing on both feet behind them and running again.

Bullets flew.
Atem tripped over and slid behind a bin.
He lay there, breathing heavily. He had no strength to get up.

GET UP! GET UP NOW!!!

I cant . . . I cant get up . . . he wheezed.
