She cried his name out one last time,
“Inu Yasha!�
But he didn’t turn back, not even a glance...
He was gone.
Somehow she knew this day was to come,
but she was hoping it wouldn’t.
The battle with Naraku was finally over,
and she thought she’d be able to resign with him.
That was until she came back for him,
Kikyo.
Inu Yasha had already chosen Kikyo over her,
long, long ago.
So now she was all alone,
Alone to cry...
Never to see the man she loved ever again.
That thought broke her heart in two.
So she went home...
Never to return again.
3 years later
“Kagome, is everything okay?�
“Huh?...�
Even after all these years,
she still thought about him constantly.
Was he okay, did he follow Kikyo to his death...
She just couldn’t forget him.
Even if she was with Hojo.
“Are you not feeling well?�
“Just a little...Would you mind if I go home?�
“Of course not...see you soon.�
She then left.
She didn’t bother saying goodbye.
She knew exactly what she was going to do,
She’d go home and stare down
The Bone Eater’s Well,
Then she’d pray he’d come for her.

It wasn’t long after she started to have emotional break downs.
She tried for three years to forget,
But she couldn’t do it anymore.
So she disappeared...
She really disappeared!
All she left was a note that said:

Mom,
I’m going away for a while.
I’m not sure when I’ll be home,
but don’t worry, I’ll be fine.
I just need to clear my mind.

Kagome.

Her mom knew exactly where she was,
even before she read the note.
She had gone back....
Back 500 years in the past.

It had been so long since she had last been there.
It seemed like a dream,
but she didn’t have time to think about that...
She had come for one reason.
To find him...
