Chapter 1 - James
James
Someone's friend
Someone's Son
Who knows if he
Had been her one
He was taken far too soon
It just seems so unfair
That so quick one life can end
And leave us feeling bare
Some live to be one hundred
Some pass at seventeen
There is someone who makes those choices
Dispite how it will seem
I know he's not coming back
I know I shouldn't cry
I know there's nothing I can do
But I can't stop asking why
Some live to be one hundred
Some pass at seventeen
And even as life marches on,
We can't know what it will mean
There's nothing we can do but wait
Time passes way to slow
The wounds are never quick to heal
No matter what you know
Some live to be one hundred
Some pass at seventeen
The moments in our lives are precious
Cherish every scene
