Chapter 1 - The Invisible Thread

Alone, all alone,
As the rain's pouring down,
I cannot explain,
I can't lift my frown,
This painful depression,
I don't understand,
declined from expression,
A trembeling hand,

I sit in my clothes,
all raggy and worn,
Just as is my soul,
Uncurably torn,
I can't put my finger,
On thoughts that I feel,
I'm laughing and crying,
'Bout things that aren't real,

Some say that I'm crazy,
Some say it's o.k,
But they're out to get me,
They're coming my way,
Alone in existence,
No-one by my side,
No-body to run to,
No place I can hide,

No soul in existence,
That cares what I feel,
They push me and kick me,
With wounds I can't heal,
I never said hurt me,
I never said die,
I never agreed to,
Me living a lie,

My freind's call me happy,
I just act that way,
They can't understand me,
Just think I'm o.k,
I call out for my death,
But something holds me back,
I can't make that last cut,
Can't keep me on track,

The people around me,
Are too fast for me,
The latest, the greatest,
It's only a dream,
Don't tell me you love me,
I'm over the edge,
Hanging on just one thing;
An invisible thread,
