Shadow...
I hear the name in my head just before I wake in a cold sweat...
Shadow...
I feel the hot breath on my face that sends an icy shiver down my spine...
Shadow...
It pierces my eardrums and then slowly fades into the cold midnight air...
Shadow...
Those fiery, blood-red eyes burn through my flesh and soul as I try to escape...
Shadow...
My blood runs cold as I, cornered, watch those lips curl into a wicked, morbid grin...
Shadow...
The border between Heaven and Hell,
Good and evil,
Life by kindness or death by destruction...
Shadow...
My lips quake violently as I mouth the name, over and over again...
Shadow...
Hatred, rejection, confusion, fear,
The Ultimate
Shadow...
Fire, death destuction, explosions,
All caused by but a spark of anger,
HIS anger...
Shadow...
Just before I am about to join the others who have crossed his path,
I wake,
In a rush of fear and shock, my heart pounding at a dangerously fast pace...
Just a typical nightmare?
Or a warning...
Shadow...
Dark,
Deadly,
Immortallity.
