Chapter 1 - Untitled
I am only minutes away from the mountains,
But I am miles away from you.
I wait here until dawn rises and lifts me up,
Waiting for your very essence to grow upon me.
I cannot help but think that you are gone,
But upon countless decades does my love grow for you.
If only you could come back,
And if you could come, and sit with me again.
When the twilight’s arms reach out to me, I know it’s you.
I am but the shadow that lingers in the darkness,
Waiting for another day of love.
I here the voices of long lost lovers,
And wondering how they are like us.
I sit and watch the moon at night,
As it laughs at our end.
If only you could come back,
And come to the waters edge with me again.
When the plant’s aroma touches me, I know it’s you.
If only I were with you again.
