Chapter 1 - Us
Us
What happened to us?
Is it just me that sees,
That you and I aren’t who we used to be.
What happened to the laughing, the caring,
The hardships and sharing.
Now I feel like we cannot be,
Simply us, just you and me.
We’re slipping away and falling apart,
This isn’t how it was in the start.
Should we go our separate ways, or try to work it out?
Because this isn’t what we should be about.
I can’t hold you back,
But I must say,
I really do want you to stay.
But if you must go, I’ll understand,
And I’ll try to accept it for I know I can.
But I’ll always remember the times with now fuss.
Yet let me ask you one more thing: what happened to us?
