Chapter 1 - Seeker
When time stands still, I feel the pain,
Of nothing to lose, and nothing to gain.
Rancid tears run down my cheek,
Leaving memories a blood-stained streak.
I look to love, but find sheer hate,
Only pain is left, lonely, too late.
I've been alone and forever be,
Is just myself to guide only me.
I believed what was there was true,
This family of mine, is it right to you?
I tried to tell myself it's all gone,
But I know I've been alone all along.
I wish to be the best I can be,
But the best isn't good enough to see.
What have I done to cause all this?
Can I ever get back what I miss?
I'm so lost, but yet so found,
Surrounded by screaming but I don't hear a sound.
