Chapter 1 - Two Birds
I see two birds
They're missing something
I see two birds
But only three wings
What did they do
To deserve such a fate
They, though innocent
Felt such malice and hate
I try to help them
They think I'm out to kill
But there's just a gap
That I'm trying to fill
I know they're on there on the verge of death
Soon they'll be dead and cold
Then right before my own two eyes
Do things rapidly unfold
Two children come along
And laugh at the larks
One picks up two stones
And both hit their marks
I see two birds
They're missing something
I see two birds
Yet only three wings
