Chapter 1 - Why is this happening?

"Mom?!" There was silence. Cold.....dark...silence. "MOM?! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Suddenly the thing her mom told her about appeared. It came closer....and closer. "AHH!", she screamed and woke up. Her mother came into the room. "Calm down Rayne", Kiley said. "But I saw that thing!", Rayne said. There was a long pause. "What does it mean? Will it come and take me like it took you?!" Rayne asked, and started crying. Kiley had a flashback to where she was in that old house. "Hello? Is anyone there?" Mom?", Rayne said. "Oh what....?" Kiley looked at Rayne nervously. I said there were hymns. I heard them when I saw that thing."
