Chapter 0 - And So She Walked...
Chapter 0 - And So She Walked...
She didn't want to stay there any longer.
The place she called home was now a war.
She couldn't take it anymore.
So she took her leave through the door.
She walked down streets she had never seen
And saw new people walking quietly.
The street lights shown brightly.
So she kept on walking mightily.
She searched the area for a common sign.
She was roaming the city street
And walking to the musicians' beat.
She felt the rush of the city's heat.
Her head grew weary.
Thoughts were running through her mind
She found herself in a bind.
She had left her home behind.
A new home is what she needed.
A place of her own is what she thought.
A great place where no one fought.
A place where no one would be shot.
She snapped back to reality.
The sanctuary she wanted did not exist.
She felt like punching herself with her own fist.
Her home was what she truly missed.
She made her way back to her street,
Familiar sights and sounds.
She stepped on to her family's grounds
Feeling like she should turn around.
