Chapter 1 - The Radio

Shadow was in his room in Sonic's house. The radio was on, and then played this song.

Shadow got one of those headaches, and knelled down on the floor. His headache subsided, but he stayed on the floor. Tears escaped his eyes. He sat up and still held his head. He closed his eyes tight.
"MARIA!" Maria, watching from above, wanted so much to comfort her best friend. She knew she couldn't.
Shadow cried into his hands. He hasn't broken down like this since he saw Maria die.
"Dumb song...," Maria whispered. Another angel came up to her.
"He'll be okay," Maria looked up to see her grandfather.
"Grandfather, he hasn't broken down like this since fifty years ago," replied Maria. Gerald looked down.
"Shadow IS crying awfully hard...," God came up.
"Maria, I'll let you go down and comfort him, but you have to come back up," Maria looked at him.
"Thank you, Father," God let her go down into Shadow's room. Shadow's eyes were closed.
"Shadow," whispered Maria. Shadow heard and opened his eyes.
"Oh, great. Now I'm hallusinating," Maria shook her head.
"No, you're not," Shadow let out a sob. He ran up and hugged her.
"Can you come back?" Maria shook her head.
"Sadly, no," Shadow hugged her tighter. Maria hugged him back.
"It'll be okay,"
"No, it won't!" replied Shadow.
"I love you, Maria! More than a best friend! More than a sister! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!" Maria kissed his head.
"Shadow, I love you that way too," Shadow pulled away from her. He used his hover shoes and flew up a little. He kissed her. Maria kissed him back. Maria pulled away after ten seconds.
"I have to go," Shadow sobbed harder. Maria kissed his cheek.
"Good-bye, Shadow,"
"Bye," replied Shadow. Maria disappeared. Shadow landed, and walked to his bed and cried himself to sleep.
